OVERVIEW

When WIMM staff upload data to our systems on your behalf, an automated process creates an archive file for download and sends you an e-mail. This page describes how to access the file and how to extract the data in it.

THE DATA ARCHIVE

You will receive an e-mail telling you the exact name of your new archive and its location. All archives are named according to the pattern NAME_OF_YOUR_SAMPLE-ID_NUMBER.tar and are stored in /miseq. A typical name and full path would thus be /miseq/201014_NB501183_0835_AHTHH2BGXG-1641976792.tar. This file is only readable by you, so as to keep your data safe. However, it is important to note that you cannot edit or delete it and that the file will only remain available for 28 days after creation. After this, it will be automatically removed.

COPYING YOUR DATA (GRAPHICAL)

- In the side bar, click Filesystem Root

- In the top menu bar, click Edit and then Paste

- Wait for the extract to complete successfully

- Your data is now in the folder that was just created with the same name as your archive but without the ID number or the tar suffix
